Nouakchott –The Islamic Republic of Mauritania expressed its condemnation and denunciation of the attacks that targeted the State of Kuwait, affirming its full solidarity with this Gulf country in the face of everything that might undermine its security and stability.
In a statement issued today, Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad affirmed Mauritania’s rejection of any attack targeting the sovereignty of the State of Kuwait or threatening its security, stressing the importance of maintaining stability and security in the region.
Nouakchott also expressed its full solidarity with the government and people of Kuwait, stressing its support for the measures and procedures taken by the Kuwaiti authorities in order to protect the country’s security and maintain its stability.
The Mauritanian position comes in light of the security tensions taking place in the region, and the accompanying Arab and international reactions in support of Kuwait following the recent attacks that targeted it.
