Tripoli –The Libyan General Tax Authority revealed record financial results for the year 2025, after the collection of fiscal resources reached an unprecedented level since its establishment, approaching the ceiling of four billion Libyan dinars.
According to official data, the total revenues collected during the past year amounted to about 3.98 billion dinars, in what was considered an indication of an improvement in the pace of collection and the strengthening of control and tracking mechanisms.
The figures show that the western region accounted for the largest share of collections, with revenues exceeding 2.8 billion dinars, while the eastern and southern regions together recorded more than one billion dinars during the same period.
Observers believe that this performance reflects a trend towards diversifying sources of public income and strengthening internal resources, in the context of the authorities’ efforts to support financial balances and improve the profitability of fiscal administration.
