Tunisian trade unionists confirmed that the wages of employees and workers have lost more than a third of their real value in recent years due to the high cost of living, at a time when Tunisian public institutions suffer from a structural financial deficit.

Calls to give priority to national dialogue and avoid the policy of running away Tunisian economic and civil activists stressed that getting out of the current crisis requires an inclusive national dialogue that restores confidence to investors and workers.
