Morocco –French President Emmanuel Macron praised the Moroccan educational system, considering it to have become an “exceptional model” on the African continent, thanks to the transformations witnessed in the education sector under the leadership of King Mohammed VI.
During his intervention in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, as part of the activities of the “Africa Forward Inspire & Connect” economic forum, Macron stressed that Morocco has achieved an “amazing revolution” in the fields of primary, secondary and higher education, pointing to the development witnessed in the formation of competencies and Moroccan students in recent years.
The French President also highlighted the increasing presence of Moroccan students in prestigious French institutions and institutes, including the French Polytechnic School, considering that the Moroccan experience in the education sector represents a model that can be benefited from on the level of the African continent.
Macron’s statements came during an economic meeting that brought together more than 1,500 economic and political actors, where he also announced the allocation of investments worth 23 billion euros for Africa, with the aim of supporting economic growth and encouraging job creation.
These statements come in the context of the ongoing relations between Morocco and France, and the existing cooperation between the two countries in the fields of higher education, training, and the exchange of academic experiences.
