Tripoli –The head of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, received in the capital, Tripoli, the Algerian ambassador to Libya, Abdel Karim Rkaibi, and the charge d’affaires of the Egyptian and Tunisian embassies, in a meeting devoted to discussing support for political stability and enhancing coordination between Libya and neighboring countries.
The meeting discussed ways to develop bilateral relations between Libya and Algeria, Egypt and Tunisia, in addition to discussing mechanisms for continuous consultation between the four countries to confront common challenges and support security and stability in the region.
During the meeting, Al-Manfi stressed the importance of the role played by neighboring countries in supporting Libya during the current stage, praising the historical relations and common ties that bring together the peoples of the four countries, and the efforts made to support the path of stability and development.
The President of the Presidential Council also reviewed the most prominent contents of the principles document for the road map for ending the transitional phase, which was agreed upon by the Presidential Council, the Libyan House of Representatives, and the Supreme Council of State, with the aim of addressing the political and institutional challenges facing the country.
Al-Manfi stressed the need to continue coordination with Algeria, Egypt and Tunisia to support national solutions and enhance opportunities for political consensus, which contributes to preserving Libya’s unity and sovereignty and accelerating reaching a stage of permanent stability.
