The Tunisian coach reveals the national team’s roster: new faces and the absence of prominent names in preparation for the 2026 World Cup

Tunisia –Yesterday, Wednesday, French coach Sabri Lamouchi announced a list of 30 players to enter a preparatory camp in the Canadian city of Toronto during the period between March 23 and 31, 2026, in preparation for the upcoming competitions, most notably the qualifiers and finalsWorld Cup 2026.

During this camp, the Tunisian national team will play two friendly matches against the national teams of Haiti and Canada, in the first real test for the new coach since he took over the job last January, succeeding Sami Trabelsi.

The “Eagles of Carthage” list witnessed the presence of a number of new names, including Rani Khedira and Khalil Ayari, the Paris Saint-Germain player, along with Louay Ben Farhat, Adam Arous, and striker Omar Ben Ali, in a move that reflects the technical staff’s orientation towards pumping new blood and building a competitive group.

On the other hand, prominent names who used to be with the national team were absent from the list, most notably Naim Al-Seliti, Ferjani Sassi, Saif Al-Din Al-Jaziri and Montaser Talbi, which reflects the beginning of a new phase in Lamouchi’s technical choices.
