Tunisia –The municipality of Tunisia issued a notice addressed to the owners of shops near mosques, calling on them to adhere to a set of recommendations aimed at ensuring a suitable atmosphere for holding Tarawih prayers during the month of Ramadan.
The municipality explained that these measures fall within the framework of ensuring that worshipers are able to perform their rituals in conditions of calm and tranquility, especially in the vicinity of mosques that witness a large turnout during the night period, including the Zaytouna Mosque.
In this context, local authorities urged merchants to avoid using loudspeakers during prayer times, and to refrain from any activities that may cause disturbance to worshipers or affect the conduct of prayer.
The municipality stressed the need to adhere to these directives in a way that reflects the spirit of responsibility and respect for the privacy of the holy month, calling for everyone’s cooperation to ensure an appropriate atmosphere for worship.
