Morocco –On Friday, members of the National Judicial Police Squad arrested the main suspect in a case that sparked widespread interaction on social media, after a video was circulated showing two people inciting a minor child to consume a substance suspected of being an alcoholic beverage.
According to a report from the General Directorate of National Security, the arrest operation was carried out on the outskirts of the city of Benslimane based on accurate information provided by the services of the General Directorate of National Territorial Surveillance, in field coordination with the territorially competent members of the Royal Gendarmerie.
Initial research data revealed that the suspects were two brothers, while it turned out that the six-year-old child was the son of their third brother. Research resulted in identifying the two suspects and arresting one of them, while security measures continue to arrest the second suspect.
The same source added that the arrested suspect is subject to a judicial investigation supervised by the competent Public Prosecution, with the aim of revealing all the conditions and circumstances of these acts and determining the date of their commission and all parties potentially involved in the case.
The National Security Services reacted to the circulating video immediately after its spread, and began the necessary research and investigations that enabled the identification of the persons concerned and the necessary legal measures to be taken against them.
