MoscowThe Russian Ministry of Defense announced, on Tuesday, that its forces had taken control of the town ofKrasny KotIn the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine, in a new field development that coincides with widespread Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian territory, and ahead of an upcoming meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump in the White House.
The Ministry confirmed that Russian forces continued their advance in the Donetsk region, while Russian officials reported that air defenses responded to hundreds of Ukrainian drones that targeted the Moscow region during the night, in one of the largest air attacks in months.

According to media sources, Zelensky will hold a closed meeting with Trump in Washington, where he is expected to focus on strengthening American military support, especially with regard to air defense systemsPatriotIn addition to cooperation in the field of defense industries and drones.
Zelensky said, in a post on the “X” platform, that the top priority is to strengthen anti-ballistic missile defenses and protect Ukrainian cities, stressing that strategic cooperation with the United States represents an important step towards achieving peace.
On the other hand, a White House official confirmed that the talks will focus on the peace path between Russia and Ukraine, at a time when diplomatic efforts continue to contain the ongoing war.
On the ground, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced that the capital and its surroundings were subjected to a widespread attack by more than 390 drones during the night hours, while the Russian Ministry of Defense later stated that it shot down 356 drones over more than 12 Russian regions, without explaining the reason for the difference in the numbers.
Local authorities reported material damage to a number of residential buildings in the Moscow region, while no casualties were reported.
In the Black Sea, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the targeting of two Ukrainian ships, one of which it said was carrying military cargo, while the Kremlin accused Ukraine of expanding the scope of its military operations, considering that the attack that targeted an Iranian ship in the Caspian Sea represents an attack on Iran.
On the other hand, Ukraine continues to carry out long-range strikes against Russian military installations and infrastructure, stressing that its operations come in response to repeated missile attacks targeting Ukrainian cities.
