2026 elections.. The Ministry of Interior calls on those who are not registered to rush to register before the deadlines expire

Rabat –The Ministry of the Interior called on male and female citizens who are not registered in the general electoral lists to expedite the submission of registration applications, stressing that the deadline specified for this process in preparation for the elections for members of the House of Representatives scheduled for September 23, 2026 is Saturday, June 13, at midnight.

The Ministry explained, in a communication statement, that the process of exceptional review of the general electoral regulations is still ongoing, calling on all citizens who meet the legal requirements for registration, and who are at least 18 full years of age, or who will reach this age on polling day, to take advantage of the remaining period before the legal deadlines expire.

The communication confirmed that registration in the electoral lists can be completed electronically through the digital portal designated for this purpose, or by going to the offices of the local administrative authority affiliated with the place of residence of those concerned.

The Ministry of the Interior also called on female and male voters who changed their actual place of residence outside the community or province in which they were registered to submit requests to transfer their registration to the new community or province within whose territorial jurisdiction they reside, before the end of the specified period.

In the same context, the Ministry explained that voters can ensure that their names are included in the electoral lists for their new place of residence by sending an SMS to the toll-free number 2727 or through the electronic portal designated for this service. If their names are not found, they must submit applications for registration or transfer of registration before midnight on June 13, 2026.

As for citizens who changed their place of residence within the territorial jurisdiction of the same group or province, the Ministry invited them to update their personal addresses listed in the electoral lists, whether via the electronic platform or by notifying the competent local authorities.

These measures come within the framework of ongoing preparations for upcoming legislative dues, aimed at updating electoral regulations and ensuring that citizens who meet the legal requirements are able to exercise their constitutional right to vote and participate in the 2026 House of Representatives elections.
